God has been at work here in our neighborhood long before us, and will continue to care for this community long after our part is over. Jackson Heights — a low-income neighborhood of East Tampa — is a pearl of great price. These are our neighbors, our friends, and our family.
Although many in our mission do not live here, we have all adopted this place as our own. We share our lives with each other. We work together, we rest together, we laugh together, and we weep together. We gather around the Word, and we press in with prayer. We foster relationships with our neighbors, and we echo the words of Jesus saying “Let the children come to me”. We are not perfect, but we are learning what it means to answer God’s holy call to the lost and the poor. Are you looking for community that will stir you in your love for God and for others? Are you open to taking a risk or two for the sake of mission? If so, we would love to talk to you.
Jackson Heights is currently on a sabbatical, but for more info, contact: Tom Tate
