My Story

As a student at the University of Tampa, I was a member of the Intervarsity chapter and heard about the Underground through my friends and mentors. I was intrigued and enamored by their model, vision, and community, and very quickly felt God calling me to get involved with them in any way. One weekend at their annual Calling Lab class, I got plugged in with the Training Department and took on an internship with them. This internship allowed me to identify my gifts, and to hear God's call for me to join the Underground as staff when I graduated in 2017.

I grew up in the area, and I couldn't ask for a better opportunity than being able to work to see my city grow closer to God, while exercising my skills with a team of committed, supportive individuals.

The Underground Network is a decentralized support system for missionaries in the Tampa Bay area, that provides our people with an intimate network of fellow missionaries, and a variety of professional, creative, and spiritual services - finance, creative media, coaching, office space, facilities, and more. The Underground Network provides their members discipleship training for faithful living, the opportunity to walk through curriculum to discover their calling, and leadership training to teach them how to serve and lead as Jesus does. Services such as these - and more - are made for the benefit of the hundreds of the brave leaders in the Tampa area, by the Training department (where I work!).

The Underground Network provides a way for smaller ministries to receive training, teaching, and services normally only accessible to larger ministries. The Training Department serves hundreds of other ministries with resources such as Leadership Training, the Calling Lab, and more. Click here to find a list of all of our past and current projects which I attend to.

Outside of work, my involvement in the Underground has me co-leading in a microchurch named Khora - believers sharing life and helping each other reach our respective circles of influence. I also lead a game-night outreach every other week, a way for other believers and myself to use board-gaming as an avenue for our friends to experience the church body in a non-threatening, friendship-bonding atmosphere.

Working with local missionaries in the center of Tampa, we face great obstacles and encounter great opportunities every day. Without the grace of God and prayers of fellow believers, none of this would be possible. Please keep our efforts in your prayers.

3. Make a pledge

As this is a missionary position, I must raise my own support so that I can dedicate as much of my time as possible to serve on staff. If you are able and led to give toward my efforts and be a contributing force to the work that I am involved in, please consider making a pledge and choosing the option that best suits you.
