Year End Giving

As most of you know, our organizational budget is based on pledges that we make to each other, to the community as a whole and to the vital work we support around the world. In our six years as an organization we have never failed to keep the promises we have made. You have been faithful and God has been gracious.

Typically around this time of the year we tend to be a little short of our budget. People can forget or lag behind in what they planned to give. it is so late in the year and we are projecting to be about $40,000 short, which has made me feel that I need to make a personal appeal.

We always prefer to celebrate and promote the work of our micro churches because we know that they are what make the UNDERGROUND what it is. The only drawback to that is that at times we diminish the amazing work of the organization itself. So many of our micro churches are served and some even exist because of the work we do. Things like Crucible, Jesus Encounter, the HUB, the Institute, not to mention the movements we are starting and fueling all over the world and the hundreds of ministries that we support in the poorest places…

All that to say, the UNDERGROUND is a worthy organization to support. Your giving really is multiplied here. I know you know that, and I never want to exaggerate our importance or our needs, but we could really use your help to finish the year well. Would you consider catching up if you are behind? Would you consider a year end gift if you are so moved to give a little extra support to our work?  If you have never given before would you consider joining us in deep and wide work we are doing? We are growing and leading in so many areas, let’s make sure that giving is another way we are leading the church and offer a living example of sacrifice, commitment and generosity.

But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.” 2 Corinthians 8.7

I love you guys.
